Hair Today, Bun Tomorrow

I picked up a hair pin of the style the geishas (pronounced gay-sha by the way, so that's good to know for sure) wear but needed a lesson in how to use it properly. What is clear is I need to do way more practice to get it the way the lady in the shop was able to accomplish it in 2 seconds flat, so need a photo diary record so I can see the back of my head accurately. 

Thus, the tutorial:

1. start with hair - check!

2. grab it all as tight and high as possible

3. twist it tight, tight, tight

4. pull twist straight up

5. fold twist in half, with lover half a little to the side

6. insert pin horizontally through thickest part

7. without drawing blood, move pin out and across to other side,
taking all the hair it scoops up with it
