Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's a bullet train.
I was really
looking forward to going 260km/h in a Shinkansen bullet train and it did not
disappoint. So smoooooooth and effortless. It is kitted out more like a plane
than a train with seats in 3/2 formation and cabin staff selling food from a
trolley.
On the outside the front of the Shinkansen is a design icon, mimicking
a swan’s head and beak. Elongated and elegant. Teams of pink outfitted lady
cleaners clean the train before it leaves, which of course is on time to the
second. Then they bow to it as it departs.
